Solange Knowles is more than a musician. She is a living archive. Through sound, style, and art, she preserves the culture that raised her and reclaims the spaces that shaped us. This year, her creative vision comes to life at the Eldorado Ballroom in Houston, where she curates a six-night performance series rooted in Black memory, music, and legacy.

The Eldorado Ballroom is not just a venue. It is a cultural landmark in Houston’s Third Ward, a place where generations have gathered to celebrate, heal, and connect. With Saint Heron, Solange breathes new life into this historic space by weaving together performances that honor the stories of those who came before us.
"When I’m curating with Saint Heron and The Eldorado Ballroom, it’s about being grounded in the work, the research, and the way these performances make us feel seen," Solange shares. But for her, the creative process also includes the ritual of self-presentation. Beauty becomes an extension of the story. It is not about covering up but about honoring what is already there.
To celebrate the essence of the project, Solange partnered with ILIA Beauty to create the Eldorado Ballroom Edit. This limited-edition makeup collection reflects her deep, skin-first approach to beauty. The Super Serum Skin Tint in the shade Dominica ST14 complements her rich complexion, while the In Frame Brow Gel defines her features with intention. Each product highlights her natural radiance and pays tribute to the ancestral features tied to her Houston roots.
"As a longtime ILIA fan, I’m grateful for the chance to create something rooted in our shared love for natural skin and glow," Solange says. "It allows me to feel radiant, joyful, and fully present during these nights that mean so much to me."

What makes this collaboration special is how naturally it blends the aesthetics of ILIA and Saint Heron. Both brands explore the intersection of art, design, and identity. Together, they created a beauty capsule that is both soulful and intentional. It is not just about looking good. It is about feeling at home in your own skin.
Solange’s Eldorado Ballroom Edit is a reminder that beauty can be a form of storytelling. It reflects our history, our identity, and the joy of showing up as our full selves. Through this project, she invites us all to see beauty as a cultural practice, a celebration, and a legacy.
