Melanin Museums: 4 Founders Creating Sacred Spaces of Ancestral Heritage

Esther “Mama Kiki” Armstrong is a Ghanaian settled in Baltimore Maryland for decades and was inspired to open the Sankofa Children’s Museum of African Cultures, the first and only museum dedicated to the childhood educational development of children of African descent, https://sankofakids.org/.


Kojo Yankah is the Founder and inspired by Kwame Nkrumah to create the first Pan African Heritage World Museum based in Cape Coast Ghana, a museum that will speak to the various dimensions and peoples of Pan African heritage across the Diaspora, slated to open in 2022 https://pahw.org/.
